I Love Kensington High St
ロンドン在住時、ノッティングヒル隣、ホーランドパークに住んでいた時から、このエリアが一番大好き。今回、ショートステイのロンドンなので、無駄なく時間が使えるよう場所重視で、10年経っても土地勘がきくケンジントンハイストリートに面している「ロイヤルガーデンホテル」を選びました。お部屋からは、ケンジントンガーデンとケンジントンパレスが見渡せます。ロンドンは街に緑がたくさんあるので、都会にいるのを忘れてしまいそう。ガーデンを見ているだけで、休日を満喫している気分になれ、リラックスできます。
朝、目の前のケンジントンガーデンをお散歩し、チャールズ皇太子、ダイアナ妃がお住まいになられていたケンジントンパレスを見学しました。ケンジントンパレスにはいると、ダイアナ妃のドレスやマーガレット王女のドレスなど、イギリス王室の世界が広がっており、心がとても充実しました。
大好きなイングリッシュブレークファーストをロンドンでいただくと、ついつい食べすぎてしまいます（＾＾）
ケンジントンハイストリートの交差点には、街のシンボルともいえるSt MARY ABBOTS Parish Chuch。当日「HOLY CROSS DAY」でしたので、１時間ほど、教会で聖書や賛美歌をきき、神聖な気持ちになります。ロンドンの教会は気軽に行けるので、朝行くと、充実した一日のはじまりを迎えることができます。
