今の時代だからこそ、お手紙

最近、ちょっとしたマイブームがあります。それは、手紙を封印する時に押す「レターシール」。古くからイギリスでは使われているものですが、特別な感じでお洒落ですよね♪

シールは印鑑のような紋章やイニシャルのスタンプで、ワックスを溶かし押印します。公的な証書や他の方にあけられない、重要な意味を表すための封印で、「封蝋」（ふうろう）とも呼ばれています。

イギリス在住時から存在は気になっていたものの、火付け役は、ジェーンオースティンの「Pride and Prejudice（プライドと偏見）」です。Mr.ダーシーとMs.エリザベス・ベネットが送達されてくる手紙の封をあける姿が知的。深夜のケーブルTV放送を食い入るように見て虜になってしまったのです（＾＾）

シールセットを購入して2週間。週1ペースですが、レターシール付のお手紙をお送りしています。既に手元にお持ちのお二方、いかがでしたか？ご感想、お待ちしております。私のマークが浸透するまで、地味にお送りしつづけます。シールマークをみて、○○○だわと気づいてくださいね♪

ちなみに、今3通目の封印しましたが、かなり失敗（> <）
ワックスが多いと押したとたん、横にブヨッと飛び出ますが、
今日は少なすぎて外円までいかず、丸がゆがみすぎ・・・
適量で綺麗に押すには、慣れが必要のようです。消耗品の
WAXは1本2000-3000円するので、無駄には使えない感じです（＾＾）

少ないはみだしで、円がかけないようにするのは難しいよね、、。

スタンプは子供の頃に憧れて購入したの。
ワックスはヨーロッパ行くと買い足してます。

濃い色の封筒のときはシルバー、ブロンズがキマるよ☆
