シルバーは私の鏡

毎日のように使っているシルバーは光輝いているのに、大切にしまってあるシルバーはゴールド色に見えることが・・・綺麗なときは、顔が映ってまるで鏡なのに kirarin♪

イギリスで保管するより、変色スピードが早い日本。そもそも空気中の硫黄がシルバーに反応して、銀→金色に変色していきます。湿気っぽい日本の空気中は硫黄も多い？スピードを遅くするには、キャビネットに収納し、専用シルバー磨きでお手入れです。

今日は磨いたなかでも、ピカイチゴールド色だったこの子。

塩・こしょうはすぐわかりますが、もう１つは？これは、マスタードなんです。マスタードポットはシルバーメッキにダメージを与えるので、ブルーの裏打ちがしてあります。ちなみに、塩も腐食作用があるので、保存用に使うのではなく、使う時だけに塩をいれます。普段のアウタヌーンティーレッスンには使わず、キャビネットの中で飾りのようになっているので、ゴールドから飴色のように・・・すべてのシルバーを万遍なく可愛がってあげたいのに、ちょっと反省です。次回のプライベートレッスンでブレックファストティーを予定しているので、お手入れしたわけです。きちんと活躍させてあげないと寂しがって変色してしまいますne！
