夏のレッスン最終日
8月最後の日曜日8/28はThe Bramah Museumブラマーさんセレクトの茶葉がテーマのレッスン、第二回目。セイロン、スペシャリティー、ラプサンスーチョン、そしてアッサム、という順番でお楽しみいただきました。今回、ブラマーさんの紅茶にはフルーティーなフレーバー系が無かったので、少し飽きてしまうかな、と心配しておりましたがが、皆様ブラマーさん流にミルクをいれて、それぞれの茶葉の味の違いを楽しまれていた様子でした。
ブラマーさん流、と言えばもうひとつ、それは茶葉の抽出を5分間かけてじっくりすることです。これはイギリスの硬水が前提となっている淹れ方ですので、日本では必ずしも同じ時間をかける必要はなく、実際のレッスンでは3分程度で出しています。3分と5分の違いは普段の生活の中では大した差はないかもしれませんが、ゆっくりと茶葉が開くのを待ちながらブラマーさんといろいろな話をした5分間。私にとってはとても素敵な思い出です。
