AfternoonTeaClubにて
6/12（日）、Richard Mort氏プロデュースのAfternoonTeaClubにお招きいただき、スタッフ数名と一緒に参加して参りました。Mort氏は母国と日本を愛する、才能豊かな英国紳士です。紅茶を楽しみながら、交流を深める場として彼が始めたこの会も第3回目を数え、この日もテーブルは満席でした。Mort氏自らレシピを指示したという英国伝統のケーキやキッシュは、留学時代を思い出させる懐かしい味。紅茶も3種類サーブされ、たっぷりいただきました。我がテーブルはポットの減りが速かったかも・・？
今回は紅茶についてのshort speeｃｈをご依頼頂きましたので、紅茶には欠かせないお水と、アフターヌーンティーの定番sweets、スコーンのいただき方についてお話を致しました。紅茶好きの方も多いと見え、みなさま紅茶を飲む手を止めて耳を傾けてくださいました。
